SOUNDCHECK
PREVENTION

IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE TO GET KIDS TO CARE ABOUT SUBSTANCE ABUSE PREVENTION?

MEET LIVE CLIENT: SOUNDCHECK PREVENTION NETWORK.

There’s power in checking in. With others around you, with yourself, with your surroundings. Like how a band checks in with a sound check before a performance.

Soundcheck Prevention Network is a group of musicians who teach youth, educators, and parents around the world using an anti-DARE approach to substance misuse.

Inspired by their passion for music, we helped Soundcheck brand themselves how they show up: hip. Been through shit, but not lecturing anyone about anything.

THE CHALLENGE.

Due to a lack of resources, Soundcheck has no system to communicate with youth, educators, or donors.

THE TENSION.

Most organizations focus on what the people are doing, but the real risk lies in what people are carrying.

  • Parents are afraid to lose credibility in their roles after sharing their experiences

  • Kids are afraid to be scolded for not meeting several societal expectations

  • It’s widely known that one in three Americans feels alone

THE INSIGHT.

Pressure builds where our voices aren’t heard, making isolation the true gateway drug.

STRATEGY: SHOW THAT SOUNDCHECK MAKES COPING A CONNECTION, NOT A CONFESSION.

BRAND REFRESH: Check in. Not out.

Udpdated branding recenters the organization on what they stand for and how they talk about it at every level.

OOH and social amplifying strategy by encouraging youth to check in. social first visual system for soundcheck to adopt.

Bonus “checked in” merch to help soundcheck engage with youth and gain donor traction
